Grace Musto
Assistant Headteacher / Head of Foundation Stage
My name is Grace Musto and I am delighted to hold the post of Head of Foundation Stage at GEMs Founders School Almizhar. I completed a BA (Hons) degree in Childhood Development and Studies obtained from the University of Leeds in 2009. I am fortunate to have experienced teaching and leading teams in the UK and the UAE.
Throughout my years in education I have developed a passion for creating engaging continuous provision, quality interactions to improve communication in EYFS. Being part of the High Performance Learning steering group has also created an ethos of all students reaching their full potential and removing any barriers to their learning.
I started my teaching career, first taking on the post of a Key Stage 1 teacher in a large primary in the UK before moving into leading Mastery Maths alongside becoming a Reception teacher.
In 2018, I joined Gems Founders School Al Mizhar as a founding member and led Foundation Stage 1. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching our Foundation Stage department grow from strength to strength, whilst coaching and mentoring our fabulous teachers.
With my new appointment as Head of Foundation Stage, I am excited to continue our journey together, ensuring that our children experience a memorable schooling experience as they enter in their first school.
Having been on a journey since the doors open here at GFM, I am proud and feel honored to have watched the Foundation Stage department, both teachers and children, flourish into the learners they are today. GFM is a growing school with high-motivated students ready to learn.
In my own time, I like to travel and experience the Emirates across the UAE. I often take part in sport activities such as running competitions and of course, a few visits to the beach!
Working here at GFM, gives me great pride and a sense of belonging to a working family. I know we will continue to grow and flourish and I am glad to be part of that journey.
