Payment Policies

The tuition fees are due prior to the start of the academic year and payable in advance of attendance, at the start of each term. Tuition fees will be invoiced from the time of admission to ensure that payments can be processed before the start of the term. If your circumstances change, it is essential that you contact us in advance of the deadline so that we can guide you on available options. Please note, all tuition fees are in accordance with the fee structure established by GEMS Education under the guidance of KHDA established School Fee Framework.

Our Tuition Fees and other associated costs must be paid upfront. Our fees are set in compliance with the rules set by the Knowledge Health and Development Authority (KHDA) and may change, as permitted by the KHDA.

Details of other fees and charges applicable are:

Sibling Discount

• Sibling discounts for students already enrolled at a GEMS school for the 2023-2024 academic year will be grandfathered for 2024-2025. 
• GEMS families with additional siblings enrolled for April 2024 and September 2024 will be grandfathered on the 2023-2024 sibling discount. 
• New students enrolled for April 2024 and September 2024 will be eligible for the below sibling discounts: 
  • Sibling Concession 4th child is 15%
  • Sibling Concession 5th child and above is 25%

Application Fee

Application Fee AED 525 (VAT inclusive) will be due upon completion of online registration. Application fee is non-transferable, non-adjustable and non-refundable

Registration Deposit

Registration deposit is charged at the time of admission. Once the child receives a formal offer from the school, the registration deposit of 10% of annual tuition is charged to enrol the child and secure the seat.

The registration deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable but will be adjusted against the tuition fee for the academic year.

If new students enroll at a school during the course of the academic year, the school can charge tuition fees starting from the beginning of the month of enrolment.

E-Learning Fees

Please note that eLearning fee is AED 300 for FS1-Y13.

The fee provides access to a variety of digital platforms and educational resources, thoughtfully selected to support the unique learning needs of each year group. This ensures that students receive the most relevant and effective digital tools for their academic development throughout the school year.

Our fee payment process has been carefully designed with parents in mind, ensuring it is as simple, straightforward, and convenient as possible.

Payments

All tuition fees are payable in advance of attendance, according to the fee structure established by GEMS under the guidance of KHDA's School Fee Framework.
The first term’s payment will be 40%, the second term - 30% and the third term - 30% of annual tuition fees.
Tuition fees may also be paid in advance.

Online Payment

School Fee Counter

Cash, credit card, and cheque payments can be made at the School Fee Counter, which is open:

Mon to Thursday -  7.30 am to 3.30 pm
Fridays - 7 am to 11.30 am
When making a payment at the School Fee Counter, please ensure that you bring the relevant Student ID Number. If you are making a cheque payment, the cheque should be made payable to ‘GEMS Founders School Mizhar.

Non-Payment of Fees

If fees are not paid, such students’ may not be permitted to appear for the school examination . Failure to pay school fees may result in a loss of the student’s place in the school, withholding of their school reports, references and/or examination results, as well as temporary or permanent expulsion or exclusion from school.

Transfer Certificate and Withdrawals

Parents wishing to transfer their child to another school or withdraw from the school must submit a formal Transfer Certificate (TC) or withdrawal request. In accordance with KHDA regulatory requirements, fee calculations are based on the date the formal withdrawal request is submitted rather than the student's last day of attendance. Where a future withdrawal date has been agreed and the student continues attending school, the applicable leaving date will be used for fee calculation purposes based on KHDA’s approved fee refund and prorate billing policy.

The Parents must give written notice to the Registrar of any withdrawal. The Registration Deposit is refundable if notice is provided at least sixty (60) calendar days before the year starts and non-refundable if less than sixty (60) calendar days’ notice is provided. School fees will be refunded in accordance with the applicable KHDA Registration and Refund Policy, available at: KHDA Guide
